BUS STOP THEATRE COOPERATIVE CO-PRODUCTION AGREEMENT

The Bus Stop Theatre Cooperative (BSTC) offers a co-production model to groups and individuals. The co-production agreement states that the co-producer pays no rental fee, and ticket sales from the event are split evenly between the Bus Stop Theatre Cooperative and the co-producer. The BSTC retains a minimum fee of $50 to cover the cost of power, bar service, administration and HST. The BSTC will retain a maximum fee of $250, after which all revenue from ticket sales goes to the co-producer.

Revenue split: 50/50

Minimum retained fee: $50

Maximum retained fee: $250

Co-Productions are subject to the Bus Stop Theatre Cooperative’s Rental Terms & Conditions along with the following specifications:

Technician

Members of the Cooperative can run their own shows without use of a BSTC technician. Others must hire a BSTC technician at $15/hr. The technician fee will be paid from the total door revenue, and therefore shared between both parties.

Bar

Bar service will be provided.

Booking

A Co-produced event cannot be booked further than 21 days (3 weeks) in advance. Co-production agreements are for single night events only.

Promotion

It is the responsibility of the co-producer to produce promotional materials. These must include the BSTC as co-presenter and include the BSTC logo. The BSTC will share promotional materials provided by the co-producer.

Special accommodations

The BSTC is open to proposals and will consider accommodating special requests on a case by case basis by gauging the following criteria:

  • Likelihood of high bar revenue
  • Inclusion of underrepresented communities or groups
  • Benefit to the BSTC membership
