ADVANCED STUDIO is meant for anyone wanting to get involved in digital Set Design using the programme: SketchUP.
Although designed as an architect’s tool, SketchUP has emerged as the “go-to” drawing software for Film and Theatre Production Work as well as Industrial and Furniture Design due to its ease of use and extensive free library of theatre and “real-world” models.
The course is taught on Mac’s, although if you have a PC the interface is almost identical. Students should have updated their operating system to the most recent Mac version (V10.13 at the time of printing). If your operating system is old, you may need to go to the Apple store.

Once your operating system is up-to-speed, you will need to install Sketch-UP MAKE. It is FREE! If you are using SketchUP PRO…even better.
Note that while this software is still available, changes are coming:
What should you bring:
.1 your lap-top computer and power block,
.2 a mouse that has a push-wheel (mac mice don’t),
