Have you ever tried to discern the difference between imagination and reality? Hop aboard the Halifax Metro transit bus parked outside of the Bus Stop Theatre and let yourself be whisked away into a theatrical performance that takes place on a moving bus.
Tales of An Urban Indian, written by Darrell Dennis, is the story of Simon Douglas: a contemporary First Nations male, born in the 1970s, raised both on the reserve and in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is a play about a kid growing up told entirely from a personal perspective. Tales of an Urban Indian conjures up an array of characters that come in and out of Simon’s life as seen through his eyes – but are all played by one actor. Staged on a moving transit bus, whilst visiting locations described in the story, this play is a unique and unforgettable theatrical experience.
Prismatic 2018 is delighted to debut Tales of an Urban Indian on the East Coast.
