Sarah Jane Blenkhorn is a writer, performer and producer as well as an English educator. She studied Theatre at Acadia University and Technical Production at the National Theatre School of Canada and traveled to England for a summer intensive Shakespeare workshop at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. She was a long-time member of Exodus Theatre, a Halifax-based classical theatre company formed in 2000. As a playwright, she adapted Beowulf and co-wrote Tales Rare and Grimm for Exodus Theatre. She is also the co-founder with Andria Hill-Lehr of SarAndipity Theatre, and with Andria she co-wrote The Bitterest Time: The War Story of Mona Parsons, which was most recently produced in 2018 by LunaSea Theatre. She wrote and performed Rabbit Moon, a one-person show about her time living in Japan, in 2016. Sarah has performed on stage and television and in film and radio. She has been a member of the Eastern front Theatre Playwrights Unit. She also writes haiku and loves to sing.
